Astronomy Graphics.

During my Independent Study Experience at the University of Michigan in Dearborn, I designed an Outreach Curriculum for the Observatory, learned to use the Observatory telescope, and practiced astrophotography. Some of these images are taken directly from U of M - Dearborn's websites.

The Dumbbell Nebula, M-27. I photographed this nebula using U of M Dearborn's observatory telescope. The final image is made from four images taken with different filters. MaximDL software was used to generate and modify the images. Dr. Swift taught me how to take photos and create a final composite image. This image has a larger red halo than some; it shows nearby hydrogen gas.
